Due to the unprecedented winter storms that struck this past week, many across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma are in need of the basics -- and when there is a cry of need the Divine responds -- with human hands reaching back.


Here you will find a variety of ways to make a tangible difference in the lives of neighbors we'll never meet.

ucc issues call to immediate action

through the emergency usa fund

The national setting of the United Church of Christ invites us to share in the effort to engage with long-term clean-up and need in the affected areas by donating to the Emergency U.S.A. fund. Donate directly here. 


The local church is the core unit of activity in our denominational life, and churches across the South Central Conference are living out our shared mission to love our neighbors right now. Read about their work here.

LOUISIANA

HERE ARE SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS IN LOUISIANA HELPING NEIGHBORS.

ACANDIA REGIONAL COALITION ON HOMELESSNESS & HOUSING

Serving eight parishes across Louisiana, they are currently seeking donations to both their general fund

and emergency hotel shelter fund.

1 in 5 people in the area serviced by the Foodbank of Northeast Louisiana is facing hunger. 

A $10 donation can provide 55 meals.

HOMELESS ALLIANCE

They are seeking donations to operate their day shelter and extend street outreach efforts in Oklahoma City. 

A $4 donation can provide a week's worth of lunches to a person served by the day shelter.

A $50 gift can purchase
