rev. Phil hodson, pastor

Pastor Phil joined us on Sept. 10, 2017. He serves Pilgrim and Fairmont.


Phil is a husband, and a father of three amazing, energetic boys. 

He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Sales Management, from Southern Methodist University's Perkins School of Theology

with a Master of Divinity degree, and is currently completing doctoral studies at Wesley Theological Seminary.


Born and raised in Indiana, he has had the opportunity to also live in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. He enjoys golf and reading.

Wendy lee, assistant

Wendy has served on staff at Fairmount for 17 years. 

She now oversees office operations for both Pilgrim

and Fairmount congregations, making sure that everything

administrative runs smoothly.


As assistant to the pastor, Wendy oversees scheduling of appointments and scheduling for use of space at Pilgrim and Fairmount campuses. She is the "go-to" person on the team for reports, data, and also oversees distribution of the weekly newsletter that the congregations share to keep everyone informed of all that's happening across the campuses.

karen latas, kids' ministry

Karen is a lifelong Pilgrim and currently oversees children's ministry on Sunday mornings, as well as monthly outreach programs in the neighborhood.


She strives to provide the children of both Pilgrim and Fairmount with an engaging, creative learning environment in which they will grow in faith

and build lifelong friendships with their peers.

dalton williams, choir

Relatively new to Pilgrim, Dalton has reenergized the choir in his short time of serving as our choir director.  Dalton recently graduated from Wichita State University with his Masters Degree in Orchestral Conducting. 

John goering, pianist

John has served as pianist and accompanist at Fairmount since Fall of 2016. John can also be found performing around Wichita in various jazz, latin, and classical settings, including leading his own Jazz Trio and 7-piece Cubana Bop Laitn Jazz ensemble, as well as performances with the Wichita Symphony Pops Orchestra. 


John is an assistant professor in the School of Music at Wichita State University, where his courses include jazz piano, jazz arranging, jazz history, World Music, and direction of the university salsa band, Banda Hispanica. John also maintains a private studio teaching piano lessons for students of all ages from beginner through advanced. 


John earned his MM in piano performance from Wichita State in July 2001. For a complete resume, click here.
