HOW DISCIPLESHIP HAPPENS @ WICHITA UCC

Jesus called disciples, students who would learn from him and then go out into the world to do even greater things than he did. And they did. To be a disciple is to study and follow in the way of Jesus, not just intellectually, but in a manner that engages one's whole life, both word and action. We take discipleship seriously and strive to provide regular opportunities throughout the year for people of all ages, backgrounds, and forms of religious experience (or none at all) to effectively engage with discerning "knowledge and love of God" in their lives. Below are the primary ways that happens:

  • ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

    Meets every Sunday morning in the RED door classroom from 9:00 - 10:00 AM, immediately before worship. Discussions vary using a variety of devotional material to analyze the Scriptures as well as take a look at the Sunday morning Scripture passage prior to the sermon.
