rev. Phil hodson, pastor

Pastor Phil joined us on Sept. 10, 2017.


Phil is a husband, and a father of three amazing, energetic boys. 


He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Sales Management, from Southern Methodist University's Perkins School of Theology

with a Master of Divinity degree, and is currently completing doctoral studies at Wesley Theological Seminary.


Born and raised in Indiana, he has had the opportunity to live in Texas and Oklahoma as well as Kansas. He enjoys golf and reading.

Wendy lee, business administrator

Wendy has served on staff for 28 years. She oversees office operations for the congregation, making sure that everything administrative runs smoothly.


As assistant to the pastor, Wendy oversees scheduling of appointments and use of space. She is the "go-to" person on the team for reports, data, and also oversees distribution of the weekly e-newsletter that the congregation shares to keep everyone informed of all that's happening.

Alayna Gutierrez, Kids ministry

Alayna is an education major focusing on early childhood education and she oversees our children's church program and MOPS childcare ministry teams.


She strives to provide our children with an engaging, creative learning environment in which they will grow in faith and build lifelong friendships with their peers.

dalton williams, choir

Relatively new to our church, Dalton has re-energized the choir in his short time of serving as our choir director.  He recently graduated from Wichita State University with his Master's Degree in Orchestral Conducting. 

John goering, pianist

John has served as pianist and accompanist since fall 2016. He can also be found performing around Wichita in various jazz, Latin, and classical settings, including leading his own jazz trio and 7-piece Cubana Bop Latin Jazz ensemble, as well as performances with the Wichita Symphony Pops Orchestra. 


John is an assistant professor in the School of Music at Wichita State University, where his courses include jazz piano, jazz arranging, jazz history, World Music, and direction of the university salsa band, Banda Hispanica. John also maintains a private studio teaching piano lessons for students of all ages from beginner through advanced. 


John earned his Master of Music in Piano Performance from Wichita State in July 2001. For a complete resume, click here.
